One of the nice things our customers get is 'alertness' by our support staff...
On Friday morning, Aug 3rd, Corey and others at Engine Yard noticed discussion in the Rails community about a DoS vulnerability.
Within hours, a workaround was provided to the community by Rails core team member, Rick Olson.
And within a couple of hours of that, our team communicated with all Engine Yard customers about how to solve the problem themselves or how to have us solve it.
(We could do such things without asking, but in this case the solution could break customer code, so we didn't want to be too aggressive).
As always, a big part of our service is service, so we're happy to keep customers abreast of such things.
